ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 1. ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੋ ? 

ਉੱਤਰ - ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਖੁੱਕਲ ' ਚ ਵਸਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਐਸ.ਏ . ਐਸ ਨਗਰ ( ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ) ਦੇ ਕਮਾ ਜੀਰਕਪੁਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿਚ 28 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1982 ਈ : ਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਭਾ , ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਿੰਦਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਰੀ ਬਬਲੀ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ । ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭੈਣ ਭਰਾ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਡ - ਪਿਆਰ ਮਿਲਿਆ । ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਨੇ ਮੁਢਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੂਨ ਸਕੂਲ ( ਦੇਹਰਾਦੂਨ ) ਅਰੇ ਮੈਂਟ ਸਟੀਵਨਜ਼ ਸਕੂਲ ( ਚੰਡੀਗੜ ) ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੀ.ਬੀ. ਏ . ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ । ਅਚਾਨਕ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਰ - ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ' ਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਸਦਕਾ ਅਨੇਕ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਮਿਲੇ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿ ll o ਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਈਫ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ । ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਐਵਾਰਡ , ਰਾਜੀਵ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਖੇਡ ਰਤਨ ਐਵਾਰਡ , ਪਦਮ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਨਮਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ | ਅੱਗ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ' ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਜਿੱਤਾਂ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ' ਗੋਲਡਨ ਬੁਆਏ ' ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 2. ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲਗਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਈ ? 

ਉੱਤਰ- ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਰੇਂਜ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ । ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ - ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ । ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘੁੰਮਣਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਅਭਿਆਸ ' ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਣਾ ਸੀ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ - ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ - ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ । ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਮਾਂਡੋ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ , ਜੰਗਲ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਮਾ ਪੁੱਲ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ । 

ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 3. ਰਾਈਫਲ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ? 

ਉੱਤਰ- ਅਭਿਨਵ ਬਿੰਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਰੰਗ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲੱਗੀ । ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੰਦਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ 1998 ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਨਵੈਲਥ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਈ । ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ 2000 ਦੀਆਂ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ' ਚ ਸਿਡਨੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਭਿਨਵ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ ਪਰ ਇੰਨੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣਾ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਸੀ । 2004 ਵਿੱਚ ਐਥਨਜ਼ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭਿਨਵ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ । ਪਰ 2006 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ( ਜਗਜ਼ੇਬ ) ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਬਣੇ । ਇਸ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ 2008 ਦੀਆਂ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਖਾਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ । 1980 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਭਿਨਵ ਨੇ ਉਲੰਪਿਕ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ - ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਮਗੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਏਸ਼ੀਅਨ ਖੇਡਾਂ , ਗਰਾਂਡ- ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਨਵੈਲਥ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲੱਗ - ਅਲੱਗ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣਿਆ ।

Question 1. Write briefly about the life of Abhinav Bindra?

A. Abhinav Bindra was born in Khukkal district of Punjab. Pita Bha, Ajit Singh Pindra and Miri Babli Bindra were born on September 28, 1982 in a Sikh family at Kama Zirakpur in S Nagar (Mohali). He has siblings. Being the youngest in the family, he received a lot of affection from Masha. Abhinav Bindra received his early education from Doon School (Dehradun) and Ment Stevens School (Chandigarh). He is a B.B. A. Studied abroad. Suddenly, Bindra received many honors for his sporting achievements at the international level. He was honored with a gold rifle by a Villon manufacturing company. He was given Na Man Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Padma Bhushan Award etc. by the Government of India. Aag is also known as the 'Golden Boy' for his many victories at the national level.

Question 2. How did Abhinav Bindra become interested in shooting?

A. Abhinav Bindra's father was very impressed by his devotion. His father had a shooting range set up at his house for his practice so that he could practice smoothly. He would practice all day. He did not like hanging out with friends. He only focused on shooting practice as his main goal was to win a gold medal for India in the Olympics. Her parents provided all the facilities to fulfill her dreams. He faced tough situations during practice. He received training abroad from time to time. He also received commando training, jungle training and Burma Bridge training abroad.

Que 3. What are the achievements of Abhinav Bindra in rifle shooting?

A. Abhinav Bindra's hard work began to pay off. At the age of fifteen, he was selected as the youngest player in the Indian team at the 1998 Commonwealth Games. He competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney at the age of eighteen. Although Abhinav did not get a place here, it was an achievement to participate in the Olympics at such a young age. Abhinav competed in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens but did not succeed. But in 2006 he became the world champion at the World Championships (Jagzeb). This success further strengthened his resolve, and at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he defeated shooters from all over the world. After 1980, Abhinav won a gold medal for India in the Olympic Games. He also won several medals at international shooting competitions, winning the Asian Games, the Grand Prix and the Commonwealth Games at different times.
