Answer: The word Ashtanga is derived from two Sanskrit words Asht + Anga. Asht means eight and Aag means part. It is very difficult to follow Ashtanga Yoga. Through Ashtanga Yoga, a human being can control his social life, mind and make his body powerful. Ashtanga Yoga has eight parts, Yam, Niyam, Asan, Pranayama, Pratihar, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.
