Q1. Write a note on the design of the national flag.
A. The shape of the national flag is rectangular. It has the same stripes of three colors. Hence it is also called Tricolor. There is a circle mark on the middle bar. The three colors of the national flag are saffron at the top, white in the middle and green at the bottom. These three colors lead us as a message in itself. The meanings of these colors are as follows.
Saffron - Saffron is derived from fire. Fire has two qualities, sacrificing and destroying. So saffron is a symbol of valor and zeal which means to help the miserable and weak and to fight against evil deeds. This color is at the top.
White - White symbolizes goodness, truth and peace. The whole nation should be full of these qualities. Then the evil will disappear by itself. The symbol of Ashoka Chakra is also engraved on this color. Green - This is the third and lowest color. This color represents the country as a whole. That the land of our country is fertile and its fields are flourishing. This farmer is the symbol of the country and this country is prosperous due to agriculture.
Circle - A dark blue circle is engraved on the white stripe. It is a symbol of the circle built on this pillar in place of the Sarnath built by Emperor Ashoka.
